Alexandria City High School comprises four school campuses: King Street, Minnie Howard, Chance for Change and Satellite, with a total of more than 4,500 students in grades 9-12. Alexandria City High School is committed to its overarching school improvement goal of increasing levels of student engagement that will result in gains in academics, attendance, conduct and school involvement.

The 2025 Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) Celebrations of Learning will showcase highlights of project-based learning (PBL) experiences in our schools this year on Tue., May 20, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at the Alexandria City High School (ACHS) Minnie Howard Campus.
ACPS kindergarten registration process gets underway for the 2025-26 school year on April 23, 2025, for all division elementary schools. We encourage families to register early as it helps to ensure the school division has the teachers, staff and resources needed to support every student.
