Financial Aid Resources

  • The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria works to ensure that ALL Alexandria City Public School students regardless of their socioeconomic background have the opportunity to pursue their college and career goals. The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria offices are located in the College & Career Center.
  • Net Price Calculators are available on a college or university’s website and allow prospective students to enter information about themselves to find out what students like them paid to attend the institution in the previous year, after taking grants and scholarship aid into account. Learn more
  • The Federal Student Aid Estimator provides an estimate of how much federal aid a student may be eligible to receive. 
  • The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) is the Commonwealth of Virginia's coordinating agency for higher education. Learn more 

Financial Aid Applications

  • The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form allows students to request federal grants, work-study and loans, all in one application. Learn more.
  • The College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile is an online application that collects information used by hundreds of colleges, universities, professional schools and scholarship programs to award financial aid from sources outside of the federal government.

  • The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria provides scholarships to graduates of Alexandria City High School using a single application, opening the doors to over two hundred community-supported scholarships.

  • FastWeb is a free scholarship search platform that connects students to college scholarships, trade school scholarships and financial aid tools.
